Group 7 Gathering

Our new Rotary Community Group 7 leader, Di Harrison, recently called a meeting of clubs in Bairnsdale. Each club had the opportunity to share our projects, and it was very interesting and inspiring to hear what all the other clubs in our group are doing.

The Rotary Club of Sale is leading a campaign of Rotarians Against Domestic Violence, so we all wore our purple T shirts and set off for a brief walk along the Mitchell River. This gave us the opportunity to catch up with members of other clubs and have a general chat.

Other projects Included supporting Wheelchairs for Kids (Moe), Water and toilets for East Timor (Lakes Entrance), a Bike Education Trail (Bairnsdale Sunrise) and our Maffra Rotary Family Mardi Gras.

It was a wonderful sharing of ideas and renewing/making friendships. We look forward to the next one!
